Without further ado, here’s the recipe for this delicious and healthy strawberry mousse:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almonds (150 g)
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 cup water (200 ml)
  • 3 tablespoons liquid refined stevia (30 ml)
  • 3 cups strawberries (510 g)

Note: We recommend that you use organic strawberries because others that are not grown naturally usually contain many pesticides. These can penetrate into the outside of the fruit through the delicate outer pores.

Preparation

  • One hour before making this recipe, soak the almonds to activate them. This makes them easier to digest and easier to cook.
  • Separate the egg whites from the egg yolk and whip them until they achieve a creamy and frothy consistency. Save it for later.
  • Blend the softened almonds with a cup of water for at least a minute until you obtain a fairly thick cream.
  • Then add the stevia and strawberries and then continue blending. At this point, you can test it to see if it needs more sweetener. It depends on your preference and how sweet the fruit is.
  • Continue to slowly add the egg whites to the mixture so you can continue to mix everything without the egg whites losing their airiness.
  • Then put the cream in the cups or containers that you want to use, cover them and place them in the fridge.
  • You have to wait 24 hours before eating this dessert if you want to achieve the right texture.
