Recipe for stuffed chicken breast with cream cheese, garlic and chives

Ingredients

  • 1 packet of cream cheese (250 g)
  • 2 tbsp. chopped chives (30 g)
  • 1 tbsp. garlic powder (15 g)
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast fillets (about 900 g)
  • 10 slices of bacon (about 300 g)
  • 1 ½ tbsp. butter (30 g)
  • 4 toothpicks

Cooking

  • First, start by  washing the chicken breast fillets with water.
  • Remove all the skin and let the white part of the meat face up on the cutting board.
  • In a medium-sized bowl, mix these ingredients: 6 tbsp. cream cheese, chives and garlic.
  • Mix them with a wooden spoon until you get a homogenized mass.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 parts,  1 for each chicken breast.
  • Put a lump of extra cream cheese, and a portion of the mixture, in the center of each chicken breast.
  • Fold the breast over the cream cheese, cover it with 2½ slices of bacon, and close it with a toothpick.
  • Repeat this procedure on all the chicken breast fillets.
  • Finally, place the chicken breast fillets in the  oven at 175 ° C (347 ° F) for 30 minutes, or until the bacon has become crispy.
